The Zweihander is a colossal sword that requires 19 Strength and 11 Dexterity to wield. These reasonable stat requirements make it a fantastic option for Strength builds in the early game, but it remains a solid weapon for the entirety of the game due to its good scaling and ability to stagger the hell out of your foes.

Where to find the Zweihander

The Zweihander can be purchased from the Isolated Merchant located at the aptly named Isolated Merchant Shack in western Weeping Peninsula. This area is easy to access relatively early in the game by heading to the very south of Limgrave, crossing the bridge onto the peninsula, and then heading all the way west until you reach the shack.

While it’s not too much trouble to reach the Isolated Merchant, do keep in mind that the sword will run you 3,500 runes, so be sure you’ve saved up a bit before making the trek. Once you’ve purchased the Zweihander from him, you’ll be on your way to becoming a master of huge damage and epic stuns.
